1. FORTIFICATION WALL AT KARNI MATA 

The Karni Mata temple is famous for the white stone idol of goddess Karni Mata and white mice. The temple is at Doodh Talai near Pichola Lake. Visitors can take local Tongas, auto-rickshaws, and taxis to reach Doodh Talai. Karni Mata temple is a trekking destination, so it provides a beautiful, adventurous trek to reach the top. The temple also has ropeway facilities. Upon traveling through the cable car, one can get the best view of Udaipur city. Hence, during the night, the City palace illuminated by light is displayed marvelously.

Jagdish Temple is a very famous Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur. This major attraction is devoted to Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe. The temple is in the center of the city surrounded by the old city area of Udaipur. If you haven’t had a kachori in Udaipur, then you haven’t sampled the local cuisine. Some of the best Indian foods are those found on the streets. The Paliwal Kachori is ubiquitous in Udaipur. A kachori is a spicy, deep-fried snack that has a crispy outer layer and stuffed with a variety of vegetables. These little savory pastries are a perfect on-the-go meal for those early, busy mornings.

3. VISIT CITY PALACE MUSEUM

Constructed almost 40 decades ago, the City Palace is a majestic sight. Taking a tour of the palace is one of the unique things to do in Udaipur. The City Palace is located on the east bank of the famous Lake Pichola. City Palace is truly a treat for the eyes with the big hallways, yards, lawns, sheds, and gardens. Perched on a hill, it is a beautiful example of both Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. 

4. BOATING AT LAKES

One of the first things to notice once you enter Udaipur is the lakes. Taking a boat cruise around the lake is one of the most blissful and relaxing things to do. Boating facilities are available at Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar both. Lake Pichola is surrounded by palaces, temples, and bathing Ghats, and is surrounded by lofty hills on the sides. Fateh Sagar Lake presents a stunning view of the lake and Aravalli Hills. Taking a boat ride on this lake should not be missed. It is an enthralling experience.

5. SUNSET AT MONSOON PALACE 

Also known as Sajjan Garh Palace, this magnificent residence at the hill is among the most visited places in Udaipur. If you’re looking for things to do in Udaipur, then visiting Monsoon Palace should be on your list. The Palace offers a beautiful pano view of the cityscape with lakes and palaces around. The purpose of building this was to watch monsoon clouds, and so it is also known as Monsoon Palace. Watching the sunset from that view is a very mesmerizing experience. The Sajjan Garh palace is Located high on Aravalli Hills, which gives a serene view of the sunset.

At the foot of the hills, the SajjanGarh Wildlife sanctuary is a major attraction as well. 

6. DHAROHAR FOLK DANCE SHOW AT BAGORE KI HAVELI ( Things to do in Udaipur)

One of the famous places to visit in the city is Bagore Ki Haveli. It is a haveli that stands magnificently on the waterfront of the surreal Lake Pichola at Gangaur Ghat. 

The main attraction of Bagore ki Haveli is the Dharohar Dance Show that is conducted in the evenings starting around 7 pm. This hour-long show takes place in the courtyard of the Neem Chowk. The beautifully lit up balconies of the Neem chowk add charm to the Haveli for setting up a stage for the traditional Rajasthani folk dance and music.

Seating arrangements are there on the floor around the stage. The floor is arranged with large mattresses placed around the three sides of the terrace to get a good view of the dance performances. Attending the Dharohar Dance Show is among the main things to do in Udaipur.
